Domain Name Registrar with Free Whois Protection / Free Private Whois
Having whois protection for all your domains is great to avoid others geting ahold of your personal information like street adress, full name and e-mail from the whois information.Very few domain registrars offer this service for free and it seems they typically charge $4+ per domain name per year. This is quite alot of cash for webmasters with lots of domains and would add about 50% – 60% extra costs for your domain name every year. But don’t worry – there is at least one who offer free whois protection for all the domains you got with them. Check out Name.com!

It is not free anymore in name.com Free whois now charged $1.99 in name.com. You can see in their blog http://blog.name.com/2010/04/private-whois-changes/
That sucks. But at least they will continue to give it for free to all domains that currently has the free whois protection enabled. BTW if I find a new registrar who offers this I will add it to the post. And Thanks for the update on the changes to the name.com service!
